You know what they say about life getting in the way of your plans, well a lot’s been happening over the last year and I’m easily distracted. So, I haven’t done much writing except for some little bits of flash fiction. In fact, I’d begun to think my muse had gone AWOL. But maybe she was just off somewhere on long service leave, after all, she has been bothering me with scatty story ideas for decades.
Anyway, I think she’s back because I’ve got an idea for a new book. Whether I’ll have what it takes to ever finish it, I’m really thrilled to find myself getting excited about writing. I think it’s a proper murder mystery this time. There was a murder at the centre of my last book, but it wasn’t the only theme.
I think it will once agin be a historical novel, set here in Western Australia, but I’ve only got a few characters and a sort of plot, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed, which makes typing a bit difficult, that it will all come together. Wish me luck.
